Program Information

Ignite: Ignite is BYSA’s youth ambassador program. Have the opportunity to be a voice in your community, engage with and problem solve local issues, make friends, and connect with others while making a difference. The program consists of informal meetings that provide a space for young people to discuss issues that face their community and design and deliver programs to target these concerns.
Doing It Our Way: Doing It Our Way allows young mums to connect with other young women that have children, building connections and friendships. During each session young people will discuss different aspects of parenting, providing an opportunity to ask questions and build bonds within a supportive environment.
Savvy: Savvy is a girls-only program for 12-24 year olds. This program is a place for young women to explore their strengths, form friendships, and most importantly have fun in a safe and welcoming environment. Savvy will be focusing on DIY and baking throughout Term 1; this will allow the girls to create healthy baked goods and create DIYs to take home and decorate their own space.
Lalor Park Skate Park Outreach: This program is catered to young people who use the Skate park facility at Lalor Park. BYSA provides food and drinks and engages with the local youth within the community.
Love It Again: Come along to Love It Again, BYSA’s Recycled Boutique, and refresh your wardrobe! Each fortnight, pick 2 articles of clothing for free.
Studio Vibes: Contact BYSA to make a booking and enjoy our recording, beat making, and production facilities.
Studio Meet and Greet: Runs monthly for all young people who are engaged in the studio vibes program, allowing them to meet and greet like minded people, and create networks and connections with people in the industry.
Studio Mentoring: Created to give young people a chance to work alongside BYSA’s music producer, enabling them to be mentored and learn music production skills.
Unplugged: BYSA will set up a stage on the 3rd Friday night of each month to provide young people with an open mic and the opportunity to showcase their music and creative arts talents. Come along to perform or just watch and support our local talent!
Friday Night Flicks: Come join us on the final Friday of each month to enjoy awesome movies, plentiful snacks, and a chill and safe atmosphere.
The Essentials: If you or anyone you know could benefit from free hygiene products, this program is perfect for you. At BYSA we are offering products such as shampoo/conditioner, soap, toothbrushes/toothpaste, and menstrual care products in a convenient pack. The Essentials Hygiene Pack is equipped with enough personal care products to last the month.
