The Aboriginal Health and Medical Research Council of NSW (AH&MRC) is the peak representative body in NSW. Our Membership is comprised of Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services that deliver culturally appropriate comprehensive primary health care to their communities.

Artwork Concept:

The AH&MRC is interested in an Aboriginal artist’s impression of the Aboriginal Health and Wellbeing Framework, (please see attached).

The body of work will be required to depict the importance of understanding Aboriginal Health, and the significance of Aboriginal people and communities in delivering culturally appropriate primary health care through the lens of colonisation and intergenerational trauma.

The artwork should depict the links between the AH&MRC and Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services and should aim to convey the broad definition of social; and emotional wellbeing whilst acknowledging its significance for past, present and future generations.

Submitting an EOI:

Artists should submit concept designs on A3 sized paper or as an email attachment. The design should be accompanied by a supporting statement/story describing the artwork as part of the EOI. Please include a resume if applicable. Individual and collaborative works are accepted as are contemporary and/or traditional art forms.


Artists lodging an EOI must submit their concept design in accordance with the attached guidelines and conditions for making a submission. All submission will need to be accompanied with a quote.


EOI is to be received at the AHMRC by 5PM on Monday 26th October 2018 Successful applicant will be announced 1st November 2015 (via phone or email)


Final artwork to be received by 5PM Monday 1st December 2018

Successful Submission:

The successful submission will be selected to be the most appropriate entry, by a panel and will be eligible to receive an agreed fee. [Please note: All finished artwork, that is, the artwork for which the stated fee is paid, will be the property of the AH&MRC. As owners of the copyright of the finished artwork, the AH&MRC will if needs be use the artwork or part thereof for its promotional activities as required.
