Are you a CEO or senior manager in a small community-based organisation? Connect with peers in your sector, learn the best practice when working with a board and discover alternate approaches to staffing challenges. The Peer Leader Forums were created to help you – the senior leaders in small CMOs – feel supported, provide you with professional development and build your network.
“I’ve found it very valuable – the CEO of a NFP has no peers in the organisation and it is so valuable to be part of a community of peers.”
We asked senior managers what was important to them. We found out that a professional development forum like this had to be affordable, had to be realistic, and it had to address real organisational challenges. In response, we developed an affordable program – only $360 for a whole year! – and developed our topics around issues that are currently affecting our network.
Topics covered • Leadership learning and development • Board management • Governance issues • Organisational culture, management and staff capacity • Managing organisational change • Responding to organisational crises, media scrutiny • Key issues in the community sector • Staff management & leadership • Improving service delivery • Financial sustainability • Funding pathways
