In your role as a Strategy Officer for NSWALC, you will be part of a team to assist Aboriginal Land Councils in their endeavours to participate in the Lands Negotiation Program (LNP) and to assist in maintaining records of Capacity Building Funding allocated to Local Aboriginal Land Councils (LALC・s). You will also assist in related program funding and to involved in projects to inform decision making relating to the use and management of land and natural resources in NSW. Your contribution to the development of important proposals relating to the program and issues gives this role a rewarding edge.
The successful applicant will play a support role to LALC・s to assist them to participate in the Land Negotiation Program.
To be successful in this role you will need to have:
- Experience working with Aboriginal Communities and local Government stakeholders and wider Community knowledge
- Experience engaging with senior stakeholders in the development and implementation of complex strategies and policies across a range of interrelated agendas
- Good financial knowledge
- The ability to balance priorities and demands of stakeholders in policy development and issues management in a complex and sensitive environment
