Applications are currently open for Milparanga 2019. Milparanga is a leadership development program, formerly known as the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Leaders Program (NATSILP).
The program develops and prepares Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people to engage in powerful conversations whilst challenging personal beliefs and assumptions.
The program aims to support Indigenous Australian leaders to:
Grow as an individual
Develop their leadership capabilities, including governance and decision making
Co-create robust conversations for powerful shifts across the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander landscape
Broaden their perspectives and act together for the greater good.
Milparanga is for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people who are 21 years or older. It is an 11-day two session program, with the first session taking place in a regional location and the second session taking place in Canberra.
Individuals can apply for a scholarship funded by the Australian Government (limited number available) or obtain their own funding.
