Work Exposure in Government (WEX) 2018 will be held in Canberra from Sunday 9 September to Friday 14 September 2018. Applications for students and teachers are now open at www.pmc.gov.au/wex and will close on Friday 29 June 2018.
 
WEX is an opportunity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in Years 11 and 12 to learn about careers in Government. This year, approximately 70 students and 10 teachers/support staff will participate. Activities will include: a breakfast with parliamentarians; an APS Careers Expo; time at the Australian Defence Force Academy and the Australian Federal Police National Headquarters; and visits to national institutions such as the Australian War Memorial and the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies.
 
If you know any Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in Year 11 or 12, or any teachers who work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, please encourage them to apply.
